BNN commentator just said that there is a report out that Goldcorp is looking at Lakshore. And its a done deal. Sorry didn't catch who the report is from. Maybe someone who was watching BNN a few min. ago and caught who the report was from can post.

It must not be a really strong report and a "done deal" or there would likely be some pricing information or guesses at the very least. I would have mixed feelings. It bothers me when someone (LSG management) does the heavy lifting, and someone else swoops in to reap the rewards. This company on it's own could become quite a player.

......I agree with you Jimylegs.......this is a little too soo for a buyout. we have been in this for the duration and would like to see much more up tick in SP before being scooped.

If I recall, the Osisko premium wasn't too bad. I also think at least one other Major would put in a bid.

If a deal was "done" I would expect the price to be jumping and jumping fast.

I would prefer LSG was not taken out but my guess is $1.82 would do it (the debenture company conversion rate option price). Too little but I think the fund managers holding LSG would happily accept... gltals..

GOLDCORP already owns millions of Lakeshore shares and has had a major position since before Bandore days . Takeout is not going to happen IMHO

Now the volume and price are picking up.

GG has been downgraded recently. Apparently they are having issues bringing new mines into production. Owning some LSG shares does nothing for GG in adding production OZs. Outright ownership of the LSG enterpise brings production OZs into GG operations without risk and likely would be immediatley accretive. gltals...

I dont know how many shares Goldcorp owns but I do know the Franoc Nevada owns about 10 million shares at $1.49 a share back in 2012. I hope for us to become a mid tier producer before a buyout happens but it that might change sooner then expected. Risk
