personally, i think the big guys are forced to sit tight.  Spending any amount of money in the face of what's happening at the moment isn't going to sit well with shareholders.  Unfortunately, as the price of commodities goes, so goes the immediated fortunes of the companies that sell them.  This is a washout of the gold sector to shake off the minor players.  We might

Funny to think they were making money @ $350 gold in 2000 . That is about $500 in todays money. You think Gold producers could make money if gold drops to $500 today? Interesting yet nervwracking times.
