Lakeshore Opinions Please

I have not been on the boards for years, been laying at the bottom of the river with my stocks. I have a couple of questions: 1) This does not appear to be a great deal to me given gold is on the brink of finally breaking out, so the price seems a bit low. 2) Is there still an open door to another bidder like IamGold? 3) Assuming this deal will stick, should we all dump our shares and buy something with a better upside or do you all think this has a good upside. 4) I am also concerned that Tahoo greatest asset is in Guatemala which is not the best situation. So, does anyone know why this guy thinks this is a good deal for shareholders. Does Lakeshore also have some issues? Thanks

...sitting on the outside looking in, LSG was building out a large gold producer hitting all targets and becomming cash flow positive seeing a gold price increase. The production was increaseing along with grade while exploration was hitting high grade with wide mining wds bringing down cost.. The mine complex was ripe for the taking seeing future cash on the balance sheet  with a good safty ...more

Well expressed traps7: Don't forget to mention that THO picks up over $100 plus million in the coffers of LSG, plus the bullion on hand, take all that off the price of the offer, not even bringing up the 30% exchange rate on the funds. Plus we're only getting THO paper. Tony's takeover deal for LSG is for Tony & the management of THO's benefit, not the LSG shareholders. Tony ...more

Thank You for sharing your opinions.  As I said, I have not been following closely for several years so this caught me off guard but that was also my knee jerk reaction.  It doesn't seem like much of premium for Lakeshore shareholders.  I am sure everyone remembers when this stock was worth substantially more with less assets. So, can there still be new offers coming in before ...more

You are so correct Traps7 about only Taaa getting the information.Tony was slow reaching final production targets. Slow delivering the information. Slow delivering exploration assays and never bothered to give us the final 144 GAP nmbers. The GAP requires even more drilling in the center area as the plan of holes show. Even if they got the information at the same time early that Monday morning we ...more

Thanks Goldhppy It is pretty standard to sell your major investors prior to any announcement as you do not want a rebellion at a meeting. If there is another storng suitor, they will pick up the premium as part of the deal.  I know that Iamgold was looking at Lakeshore.  But, if they don't step up soon, within a week or two, we safely assume they have walked away. thanks again
