This is frustrating

I initially bought this stock over 8 years ago and paid $.83(C). I subsequently added more shares at much higher prices. I keep hoping to break even but for years nothing makes this go up.I am disappointed that even a decent quarter failed to cause a significant increase in the price. Is this dead money until the mine construction is completed 5 years from now?

Hopefully value is recognised before then

Some value could be coming our way from another direction. Eira hinted recently that potential third party suppliers for Clara might well be troubled by its ownership by Lucara (a competitor supplier). “Our goal has been to commercialize it and demonstrate that it works. Longer term, I think in order to entice other producers to sell through Clara, it probably makes sense to create an independent ...more

Any idea what we could get for Clara ?

A number of new shares in Clara in proportion to your Lucara shareholding.  The listing price, and hence value of your shares, would be dependent upon the prospectus issued. I ask myself this question:- why was there a recent placing when the U/G financing was supposed to be via debt only?

and, do tell what your "answer" is. I agree that Clara, after having been already sold once by ET, will likely and hopefully soon be sold a second time by ET. (I have never been a fan of LUCARA buying this entitey from ET et.al., but am willing to eat my words, as I have been proven wrong on the surface, but it has yet to pay any financial dividends). IMHO it appears that to continue to ...more

and, do tell what your "answer" is. Look at who participated in the placing. If Clara spins out each of those placing shares will get a proportionate Clara share.

Currently Clara has no profit and therefore no value , after 3 years it's hardly impressive . Obviously lucara hasn't the ability to take it to the next level. The question is who has or does anyone have that ability.  So far it hasn't disrupted anything , I'm still as sceptical as ever but would love to be wrong . What monetary do you think Clara has?

Suppose it spins out with the promise of a big thrid party supplier in the bag - the value could be enormous - if it's the right supplier(s). Would it make sense for that supplier to buy in to Clara also? What about interested govts - perhaps also? eg Borswana, Namibia, Lesotho, Zimbabwe I'm sure they'd welcome the opportunity to squeeze a bit more out of the their resources.

Someone with a huge amount of diamonds to sell might be interested. It goes nowhere without third party
Comment by Gerrywerry on Nov 05, 2021 6:58pm
If someone was  interested in Clara why not take out lucara and get both .
Comment by nyoni on Nov 05, 2021 7:30pm
Trust fund, directors and management together hold too many shares between them for a hostile bid to stick, so any approach would have to be friendly.
Comment by Gerrywerry on Nov 05, 2021 8:26pm
If the price was right they would make friends, wishful thinking.

What's the point in averaging down if there is no catalyst that makes the stock go up. Clara was supposed to be a big booster but 3 years later we have nothing to show for all the shares we gave ET to acquire it. Recovering 300+ stones did nothing. Beating estimates on revenue and income did nothing. If we have to wait for the mine renovation to be completed in 4+ years then holding this until ...more

It's not dead but it's definitely not feeling very well and could take a few years to get better
