Any thoughts?

Q3 results are due out in 13 days. (2nd Nov)

It will be interesting to see how the Clara 3rd party supplier trial is going.

Eira said last month that she was hoping for a secure supply agreement before the end of this year.
The potential volume through Clara for 2023 is depicted as $600M with $30M accruing as revenue (5%).

Since Clara appears to have a zero contribution to Lucara's current share price, I would imagine that any announcement of a supply agreement would have to be accompanied by a trading halt to allow for re-rating.

Any thoughts?

I've become somewhat jaded with this holding, so take that as a rather large bias to my thinking. If we, Lucara, had a supply agreement I think we would see it in the sp, which clearly it isn't. To look at the sp, you would think we've found nothing, let alone awaiting some top ups on some exceptionals along with pinks/purples.  I'm expecting a very big Q3 and Q4 on rev's ...more

With the underground hanging over us there are a few catalysts that might move the sp .obviously and most effective would third party supply on Clara " here's hoping"  also selling the sethanya or the Sewelo or finding out how much we got for the pinks

A nice 1000 carat perfect diamond would also do the trick

Trial with 'one producer' is underway....Eira's tone seems to indicate that this could be a significant entity and that early results have been very encouraging and hopeful that this will lead to a secure supply agreement by the END OF THIS YEAR. I'm sure most of us here would love to speculate that it might be Debswana.  Based on the comments coming out of Masisi's ...more

Eira has no option but to have a positive tone re Clara as if Clara doesn't work her position in lucara is untenable. I really hope we get that third party supply but don't trust eiras tone .

I am surprised the capital costs for the mine has only been reported as rising from about $534 milliom to $547 million. Every other in-process mine build that i know of is giving nothing but heartache to the shareholders- IMG being the poster child on the issue. They don't mention in the short versions of the MD & A how much of the project was fixed price, but given it is a 5 year build ...more

I agree. All costs are up. This increase is surprising. Steel, concrete, labour, everything is up. I hope we dont get a big surprise!

It seems to me it's getting to now or never as far as third party supply is concerned . Hopefully now!
