Sell diamonds through hb and then they steal your idea . They even show our mine in the presentation.  Just shows there is no honour in business.  This could well be the reason for eiras departure!

The two things eira brought to the table. Clara and the HB deal ! Doesn't look great !

...but we don't know what the details are of the agreement between HB and Lucara.

PS Lucara (Botswana) MD was sitting in the front row for the Presidenr's announcement.

Lucara dealing with hb and hb interested in a Clara type blockchain setup . The obvious move would have been some sort of joint venture .  Was there any talks ? And if there was what happened ? Seems like eira may have dropped a very large ball.

Yes, there is an agreement between Lucara and HB.  All we know about it is that HB are going to take all of Karowe's +10.8 ct specials for the next 10 years. But that's all we know. Who's to say what the fate of all the less than 10.8 ct stones will be that HB (a polisher of big stones) will be getting from Okavango?

So  what's the future for Clara ? That's if there is one.
Comment by nyoni on Aug 20, 2023 7:48pm
My wish for Clara:- 1. Spin out to sever ties with Lucara. 2. Sell Okavango stones 1ct - 10.8 cts for HB. HB will be buying Okavango stones in all categories, but they are cutters and polishers of large stones, not sellers of small rough. That is what Clara with its 100+ customer base does. Remember, Clara does not buy stones, they sell them on for a supplier and take a 'commission'.

Lucara might be interested in some cash to put towards the underground if they sold Clara.

Yes, that's a possibility given the decision to add the *concern* expressed in the Q2 results. However, the price had better be substantially more than what we paid for it.

What would it be worth?
Comment by nyoni on Aug 21, 2023 11:08am
Let me check what Eira has said about it.

I'm going to start a new thread.

safe to say that the "market" is pricing it at or near $0. given our share price.
Comment by Gerrywerry on Aug 21, 2023 3:31pm
It has value , but only to someone that can get sellers on board and so far that ain't us hence the market not attributing any value to it .  On another matter when will we hear from William ?

Interesting that they talk and speak about "transparency" yet, I could make a very strong arguement that in the case of Lucara diamonds that "transparency" has become less so since the HB agreement. The tradeoff to get higher revenues for Lucara's rough.....
