Take a look at the one year chart

This is a lightly traded, heavily manipulated stock that goes up and down like a toilet seat.  You can buy it as a long term investment but it is better described as a trading stock.  You buy at the low, then you sell at the high then repeat over and over again.

It is hard to say where it will bottom out this cycle but it is now in a downdraft for the nth time!

Yes, I'm out.  See you at the bottom.  Easy money!

Im out as well. Waiting to buy back in around 10 CAD. Its always the same, buy at 10 CAD and sell at 12.5 CAD. This has worked many times and it will also work in the future. The management is not able to avoid this, there is no catalysts to drive the share price higher.  I would stop trading this stock when they start paying dividends and when the initiate a buy back program. Anyway, it looks pretty much like Newcrest is also helpting to keep the share price in a range. On monday, when this stock went up signifiacntly, there was a public holiday in Austrilia (where the headquater of Newcrest is located). i don't belive in coincidences. Right the next day Newcrest made sure that the share price was brought back down.  So pretty obvious that there are lots of ...more
