A buying opportunity due to incompetence
Anyone else as peed off as me about the latest announcement? They rush rush rush to get the commissioning completed just "on time" and boast about it and then they don't have any electricity to run the plant? What was the point?
How could they have not found out except at the last minute that the electricity hook up was not going to be completed on time and they would have to wait 5 months? It does not seem like they were on the ball at all about this. Wouldn't you be calling the electricity company in advance?
Why did they make the announcment when Canadian exchanges are closed? This is a classic bad news tactic.
"It is quite understandable. It's a very natural reaction. But one day, in a week, a month, a year, on that day when God willing, we all return to our homes again, you're going to feel very proud of what you have achieved here in the face of great adversity. What you have done, should be, and I think will be, an example to all our countrymen, soldier and civilian alike. You have survived with honor, that and more, here in the wilderness. You have turned defeat into victory. I congratulate you. Well done. Wait, wait, wait, did not one call the electricity company? Well sir, you can't expect us to do everything".

The world is full of Covid deniers. The markets are making new highs as if the pandemic is over! Management misjudged the effect covid is/was/will have on the workforce. They are not alone. Most airline CEOs fall into the same boat.
