SHAWCOR LTD. ANNOUNCES THIRD QUARTER 2020 RESULTS • Third quarter 2020 revenue was $268 million, 32% lower than the $394 million reported in the third quarter of 2019. • Adjusted EBITDA1 in the third quarter of 2020 was $17.8 million, 58% lower than the $42.4 million reported in the third quarter of 2019. • Net loss2 in the third quarter of 2020 was $18.3 million (or loss per share of $0.26 diluted) compared with a net income of $6.5 million (or $0.09 earnings per share diluted) in the third quarter of 2019. Excluding the impact of restructuring cost and the adjustment for Argentina hyperinflationary accounting, adjusted net loss1 in the third quarter of 2020 was $11.2 million (or adjusted loss per share1 of $0.16) compared with adjusted net income1 of $6.0 million (or $0.09 adjusted earnings per share1 ) in the third quarter of 2019. • The Company’s order backlog was $542 million at September 30, 2020, compared to the backlog of $553 million at June 30, 2020.

That will not bode well with the market. Damn it! Drop in today's price likely related to knowledge before release.

I am not as convinced of a lasting severe reaction.My explanation for the drop today is the stock was $2.20 november 9th and people like the chance to take a profit. The company did some good things in the news release but one thing i did not notice ( open to correction if I am wrong ) they did not do is compare Q3 to Q2, a sequential comparision.. When you look back one quarter , sales were $268 ...more

I think things are slowly turning around now and the worst is behind them now. This extract says it all. "Despite market challenges, the Company expects results to improve in the fourth quarter and into 2021 based on increased demand in the Composite pipe business, positive recovery signs in automotive and industrial markets, the ramp-up and execution of pipe coating work secured in the ...more

If I were a betting man, I would definitely bet that this stock will double within 3 months to $5 and quadruple to $10 withing 6 to 12 months. Everything is heading in the right direction, good numbers, which is obviously better than last two quarters. Management is making all the right decisions. Company expects improved margin. Plus increasing pie share of automotive division sales ...more
