Thanks for sharing. I don't have TD research access so I can't comment on valuation revision and methodology. However, at a $10 share price, Shawcor would only be trading slightly above the current book value of equity ($648 million as of Q2). Major $500 million pipecoating award won in Mexico.. Expected to be finished in a year. "will return Shawcor’s conventional offshore pipe coating activity to levels not seen since the oil price collapse of 2015.”

This is really great to see. There is a bit more information yet to come from Management on what the economics look like; however, this is a step in the right direction and hopefully the return to profitability for the pipe division. Flipping through the press releases, Shawcor hasn't seen a contract on this scale since 2016 ($300 million at the time) when they had another project for TC in ...more

The devils in the details like the cost to reestabilsh the plant . "The work will be conducted from a high-capacity concrete coating facility which Shawcor will re-establish in Altamira, Mexico." One thing that might help is they have some idea of their potential work force. I feel hopeful for tomorrow.
