MEG Energy Corp is expected to show an increase in its second quarter earnings to 12 cents? per share according to the mean Refinitiv estimate from six analysts. Wall Street expects results to range from 9 cents to 14 cents per share. Meg reported 0.17 cents. Beating all expectations. I think we will see a nice rebound the rest of the month. $9-10 imo

..this will be a TRUE TEST tomorrow - a beat on CF, earnings, upward revision to production , buying back some of the lien debt , capex to furthur increase production to 100k..whats not to like??? SHOULD BE A NO BRAINER TOMORROW...still, the BANKsters and flashboys have been hard at work keeping a lid on O&G share prices of late..just how many upgrades have their been in this sector while

I think this drew in a lot of speculators over the past couple of days.  They always sell the news which will drive it down or flat, but this is a very bullish earnings report and the share price will move higher once all those losers are done selling their shares.  Unless the report attracts so much attention that the sell the news clowns are overwhelmed.  Then they will hesitate

Exactly.  You are making a joke, but the reality is predicting short term stock movements is a fool's game for the reasons indicated.  Just knowing fundamentals is not enough.  You also have to know the tendencies and general sentiment of ALL the players.  It's an impossible task that the pros have long learned to avoid.   Day traders are crazy.  Long term
