Good value

This is a new investment for me after rotating out of position from a big Canadian bank. MFC has been beaten down without just cause and represents more upside potential compared to the banks at least for the short term. It also has a juicier dividend.

Long MFC and been going nowhere share price wise for months. Lately I think Trudeau's promise to increase corp tax rates on just banks has hurt MFC.

A robust increase of their dividend would surely motivate investor. Manulife have a very low payout ratio they can afford it. On top of that, in a near future, we should expect an increase on the interest rate, which will have a positive impact on the company's result. Just saying...
