Yeah thats right.....still soo disappointing that everytime the stock looks like its about to gain some traction...it sells off again.  I must be missing something ?  Actually there seem to be a lot of decent stocks in the Canadian market that get no respect..for whatever reason..some with tempoary problems and some like MFC ...the street just seems to hate In no particular order..Aecon ...more

hard to understand the market with MFC - metrics are very good, compared to its peers. For example, MFC : P/B 0.99 P/E 7.3 ; SLF : P/B 1.76 P/E 11.5 ; GWO P/B 1.47 P/E 10.8. According only to these metrics, MFC should be trading at around 30$ . Did I missed something ?

Seems this stock will never get rid of it's risky past under D'Alessandro. The CEO has done an incredible job of diversifying, reducing risk and reliance on high interest rates for returns. Earnings have almost doubled since he took over but the stock price is the same. The PE has gone from 10-11 to 6-7. Part of the problem is a massive float. Way too much liquidity for shorts and traders, ...more
