This is a $30 Stock

The reason many are still holding is that they know that this is a $30 stock in two to three years. The opportunity cost of holding Excelsior while the market is making huge gains is painful. While Excelsior may rise soon, I am not sure if it will compensate against the large moves made by the other stocks in this bull market. I tell you, this stock is one for the text book, even the left for dead stocks are making huge gains, while Excelsior just sits stagnant on a huge copper deposit of 4.5 billion pounds doing nothing. At $4.30 copper, the gross value of the deposit is $19 Billion. Yes that is right $19 Billion US dollars. The long term investors are scratching their heads that why is this stock so underpriced, while the new investors want to come in but are hesitant. You see the management's Corporate presentation is so thin that it just doesn't give the project justification. The first thing that I look at when I am about to buy a stock is how much info is readily available before pulling the trigger to buy. I think if management made a little effort in updating their corporate presentation and just be detailed about everything than the share price will move. Take something simple like production of 125 million pounds of copper annually. How much is that worth in actual dollars at current prices, It doesn't say. 125 million pounds on annual production at $4 copper is $500 Million US dollars. That's half a billion dollars in revenue at full production. Even the initial nameplate production of 25 million pounds per annum at $4 copper is $100 million US dollars in revenue just as a kick start. I feel that when I look at the corporate presentation it just doesn't feel right of a great company like Excelsior. It should give some more colour. Some more pictures, compare against some producing mines etc. The lack of news update and just the lack of readily available is mind boggling. This is painful to watch. What a great job management has done bringing the company from exploration to producer status. Even thus bit of info such as a timeline when they hit each milestone is missing from the presentation. This is a great copper play, worth more than it is trading at today. Imo.

If they made a little effort to make that same information easy to access to all investors it will do wonders for the company's market capitalization. Maybe had they done that sooner the PP could have been done at $1.50 or so instead of the lowly $0.95 cents. At the end of the day as an investor who here thinks that management has done more than enough in marketing this project properly. I don ...more

rexrex, you remind me of myself 20 years ago when I first started investing. While I appreciate your optimism, I urge you to take the rose coloured glasses off now and again. One truism about the stock market, "a stock isn't worth more than someone is willing to pay for it". There are reasons we are where we are and the biggest in your face warning was the pp with a full warrant. If ...more

Good post Lazer.   I  think you reflect the experience of most who try and play this game of thrones called stox.   The odds are stacked against you despite how wonderful it can sound when you hear the stories.   The profits will be enormous once production happens but yes, along the way there are so many hurdles and pitfalls.   Dilution,  commodity risk,   ...more
