Shareholder Voting from Marathon

Thank you for your e-mail and your continued support of Marathon.

The group calling is a proxy solicitor and we initiated this because having our AGM in mid-summer and in the midst of COVID we wanted to ensure shareholders were contacted such that they had a chance to vote. They only have the contact information of registered shareholders and non-objecting beneficial shareholders; I can assure you they don’t have contact information for objecting beneficial shareholders. This classification can be adjusted through your broker if you don’t wish to be contacted in the future. Yes, they only reach out to those that haven’t yet voted.

If you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Apologies for any inconvenience and I hope you and your wife have a wonderful long weekend!

Speaking of institutional holders ...more

Good Post Curse. I have been in the situtation before and no matter how much we dislike events when it comes to takeover or mergers we don't have much to say in these matters. I trust we have some conclusion before year's end and get on with other ventures. I have a gut feeling we may see some changes coming down the road near term.

No one in the house takes my leftover pizza.  It's like a visible lick.  :) tC

Thanks for the info Ridge, I too got the call this evening from a young lady @ DF King encouraging my  vote. I told her it's quite pointless from a retail shareholder perspective, as the outcome has already been determined by the large Institutional holders. She said a certain percentage of individual shareholder voting participation was required to achieve legitimacy ! ...I responded ...more
