Is Powell incompetent?

I hope that he doesn't get a turkey as a Christmas bonus this year. He really messed up and missed the boat. In a way, he is the turkey.

James Powell

James Powell is a mining professional with over 20 years of technical and project management experience in mining, civil, geotechnical, and environmental engineering/sciences on a wide range of mining and industrial projects. James has a B.Sc. in Engineering (civil) from the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton, NB, and a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Mining Engineering from McGill University in Montreal, QC. 

His experience includes over 16 years of consulting services to a variety of mining projects including gold, nickel, iron, copper/zinc, and industrial minerals, as well as over 4 years in senior management positions with Alderon Iron Ore Corp and Cap-Ex Iron Ore Corp. 

James’ work has been instrumental in developing and expanding mining projects throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. In addition, he has been a leader in mining industry advocacy through his many years of service as a (former) Director with Mining Industry NL and is currently the President/Chair of the NL Branch of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM).

1 416 861-0851. Investors need to call and express their outrage of the level of incompetency!!!!  Demand Manson fired in my view.  Manson will be paid for his failures...investors wil not!!!! Where is Marthons leader...Manson?  Where is Faught?  What company with such failure doesn't address shareholders of a public company?  Looks like Manson and Faught are in hiding ...more

If they cannot up their game then they need to sell the company. Leave it to professionnals. What they need to do now is re-assure the Market that they know what they are doing. So tell us what you will do different otherwise we'll start doubting the mine and process plans. Hope it is not a LEGO plan. :-(

PianoMan  I totally agree.  To compound the issues with deafing silence is further validation of incompetence!  What do the First Nations say?  Do they support the project still?  What is there view on the steps Marathon submitted?  The CEO and Chairman need to step down ASAP!! JMO
