Are you kidding how many shares did they short from the date they recieved their term sheet. They would have been aware of this back in August and once they recieved their term sheet they would have started shorting locking in great profits with absolutely no risk.

This is the official short position for MOZ this year. 683 thousand shares were shorted between the 15th and 30ths of August. We don't know yet how many more shares were shorted from the 1st Sept. till now. I have a feeling a hellofalot more shares were shorted the last 2 weeks and some might close their position by the 15th, so the total shorted in the 15th Sept report will show less than

I've been told by someone in the business that the IIROC public short position report does not reflect the reality of the actual short position of a company at any one time, which could in fact be thousands or even perhaps millions more. Regardless, on summer volume, an abusive trader with half a million shares could easily manipulate a stock such as MOZ. That and then there is naked short
