    BLK previously filed a report under Part 4 of NI 62-103 in respect of Marathon Gold Corporation dated July 31, 2023 for security holdings of 36,531,292 common shares and 10,958,500 warrants representing a security holding percentage of 11.48%. The net decrease in security holdings since the last report is 7,944,292, resulting in BLK’s control or direction over an aggregate of 28,587,000 common shares and 10,958,500 warrants. As a result, BLK’s security holding percentage of common shares has decreased from 11.48% to 9.56% of the 413,426,967 issued and outstanding common shares of the reporting issuer if all of the warrants held by BLK were exercised.

  2. 3.2.  State the designation and number or principal amount of securities and the eligible institutional investor’s security holding percentage in the class of securities at the end of the month for which the report is made.

    As at September 30, 2023, BLK exercised control or direction over 28,587,000 common shares and 10,958,500 warrants representing approximately 9.56% of the 413,426,967 issued and outstanding common shares of the reporting issuer if all of the warrants held by BLK were exercised.

  3. 3.3.  If the transaction involved a securities lending arrangement, state that fact.

Sounds like some of their clients are inking their tax losses now. This will pass. They're clearly stupid and bailing at the worst possible time....buy high! sell low!  Way to go Blackrock!

It would seem they are liquidating their entire position.  I don't think that is driven by individual clients rather an enterprise decision.  Maybe the cannot hold anything less than a certain market cap.  Unless it is for some reason like that, it is odd and a bit unsettling.  No one likes taking a hit like that. tC
