Div cut to .05

This is no big deal.   It seems unrealistic to maintain yields of 11%.  Any Div of 6+ is great.  I hope I can jump on this in the morning.  Congrats to those who got in before the halt.

I think you will have the oppertunity to jump inn tomorrow or friday. I have a feeling that the SP will take a bit of a hit in the next few days. I managed to sell 1/2 my position before the market closed. Just not sure how the market is going to react but more than 70% of the time when the dividend is cut the stock takes a hit. And I realize that this cut was already priced in but I have learnt ...more

"NAL's 2012 plan targets a dividend payout ratio of approximately 35 percent of current year cash flow. This objective balances the development of the Corporation's extensive inventory of light oil opportunities, maintains a competitive dividend and retains financial flexibility."   35% seems very low so maybe the market will like that.
