UNUSUAL ACTIVITY

Most of my living in the market is made noticing the anomolies to the "usual" way a given stock trades.  Every stock has a "personality" per se, with typical trading patterns, typical volume and typical participants.  When a substantial anomoly happens to that usual pattern, it often signifies some development, either good or bad.

This approach to the market is based on a very long history now of starting with the assumption that while I may be the last to know a given development (which is a good starting point for all retail investors), with the right market software I CAN see the footprints of those higher up the foodchain of knowledge. The sudden interest or excitment is right there in their trades that are eagerly going through.

Today is an excellent example of this phenomenon, this "change from the usual personality" of the stock.  Is there a noted change in the usual patterns today?  Absolutely.

It started with the pre-market bidding, with some chunky orders there.  Often I discredit these pre-market bids as they often get pulled at the last second.  Fun and games.  But this time, to my surprise, they went through at the ask of $3.54, up 26cents from Friday's close.  This definitely caught my attention.

As well, the volume is WAY up this morning, at 125,000 shares in just the first 45 minutes of trading.  Again, this is FAR from typical.

It's still early here, but this unusal activity is definitely worth noting, and suggests that there is stome strong.."hunch" out there that might be encouraging this buying.

You want to make a LOT of money?  As the saying goes, follow the big money.  Imho the clues are there strongly already this morning.

I noticed the same, this reminds me of Aurelian Resources back in 2006 - if anyone remembers that play, lots of gap up potential. The volume is not that strong here yet, which tells me the big money institutional money is still oblivious. Ya, I had so much fun with Aurelian...most awesome gold intercepts in the world at the time. I still own it, several owners later. And speaking of gold mines, NNOMF is one as well...equally as exciting as I have been waiting here for 5 years! And all in the safe jurisdiction of Canada!

Aurelian is what inspired me to stick with stocks if you want financial freedom.  I was just beginning in stocks at that time and learned my first lesson that expensive stocks can get a lot more expensive and cheap stocks can get a lot cheaper.  I choose a stock at .72 instead of ARU in the low $3's, then watched it run to $50 over the next several months while watching my stock go

Fingers crossed, and you're right, in Canada - unlike ARU where eventually the Ecuadorian government tried to steal it, or something like that.
