What is company distress?

To clarify:

I have said that Nano One is CURRENTLY navigating a period of deep company distress. Which is a tough task for even the most apt management teams. I for one hope the Nano One team do well since I truly believe in this company.

“Deep company distress” is a term used to describe a COMPANY whose share price has dropped ~36% over the past 6 months and dropped ~28% over the past 3 months. And the COMPANY is also entering into a challenging period in the overall market cycle (e.g., risk of looming recession, risk of unstable geopolitical events triggering a flight back to fossil fuels/slowing down of a desire to expedite an energy transition). And the COMPANY is also entering into a challenging period in the overall political atmosphere (e.g., upcoming US and CANADIAN federal elections campaigns).

By this definition, I believe we all agree that Nano One is navigating a period of “deep company distress”.

Challenging times are not a bad thing, they are just challenging times. I think our Nano team has what it takes to end up on the other side of this challenging period.

My timelines are for this challenging period to end circa 2028-2030 and my timelines are not for this challenging period to end circa Q1/Q2 2024.

I think Q1/Q2 2024 is a great period for a cash position yielding ~5% annual returns. Let the true Nano One believers buy Nano at a later date (hopefully cheaper) and only after Nano management provides concrete guidance on annual revenues and capital project financing strategies and partnership disclosures.

Nano One needs to start disclosing annual revenue targets for 2024, 2025, 2026, 2027, 2028, 2029, and 2030 so we can begin to hold management accountable to these approved targets.

The period of Nano One management not being beholden to shareholders in regard to hitting or missing annual revenue targets certainly needs to end immediately.

I assume Nano’s partnership disclosures might not be shareable if they are protected under an NDA.

Thanks for not pumping, only fools fallow pumping. I would rather hear from Dan, what are the hurdles he sees in front of him, and how he plans to navigate.   I don't need to have nno to be successful, I need ti invest in successful business.

Paid Basher. You are short Nano. If you were really long you would call and talk to the company.

Summitomo (a institution) just paid $3.07 for 5% of the  company. Wake up!!!

If you think SMM is an institutional fund, you may want to refresh yourself on the definition of an institutional fund.

Summitomo is a cathode producing battery materials company. They own 5% of Nano One at $3.07. They know more about the industry than any  investment fund. One thing I learned in life is to never take investment advice from a lawyer.
