Tesla and Jeff Dahmen - Patents for Single Crystal CAM

Tesla and Jeff Dahn have their own patents for single crystal CAM unrelated to the Nano One Pot process technology.  I do not believe these Tesla patents use One Pot as a starting point. 

This seems to contradict that Tesla would need One Pot for a single crystal CAM since Tesla and Jeff Dahmen have worked out their own process technology.

Perhaps Tesla still wants One Pot for M2CAM or perhaps the One Pot single crystal process is simply better and further developed.  But that remains unknown and somewhat unlikely considering the resources Tesla has been applying to this problem.

In any case, Tesla and Jeff Dahn have lots of patents of their own and it may be a stretch to think Nano and Tesla will be working together because of the patents Jeff Dahn has already published for Tesla.

At that time, Jeff Dahn did not use “single crystal” cathodes manufactured by Nano One Materials! Jeff Dahn are a electrolyte engineer he makes the electrolyte and singel crystal cathode work together. Tesla and Jeff Dahn has electrolyte patents that works with singel crystal cathode. That is theyr patents.  They hav not patents to make single crystal cathode material  Tesla has also patents regarding cathode precursors but that has nothing to do with singel crystal cathode

I'm not sure if you misread the papers that were included in the links but most certainly Tesla/Jeff Dahn have patents to make single crystal CAM that are not related to the specialized electrolyte solutions they have also developed.  Furthermore, China has been producing single crystal CAM at industrial scale for some time now.  However, hopefully One Pot is a more efficient

Again Jeff Dahn does not have a patent regarding CAM or singel crystal cathode.  Jeff Dahn used singel crystal cathode from China in his research.  And this type of cathode are to costly to produce in North America and Europa

Good grief…You should go please request @patriotnano to give you a lesson in material science...   “Single crystal cathode material is made by manipulating the process technology at the precursor level to develop the single crystals.  That precursor is used to yield single crystal cathode material for battery cells.”   Nano One skips the pCAM step but that doesn’t mean that everyone

If you Just read.....This is what Jeff Dahn say in your own link.......We have looked at industrially prepared materials and I have no idea what they did to make their material. It’s a very simple argument for why the single crystal succeeds so if you make these single crystal particles, they should succeed however you do it.
