- Tesla built the first validating Cybertruck with dry cathode made on mass production equipment.  

-  Large scale mass production of 4680 planned for Q4

-  Assumption after 5 yrs it was Maxwell dry cathode process. At no point was this confirmed.  

-  An observation by a follower notes "I think we might be reading too much into the conference call announcement, no doubt as they intended. I had already heard in the last few weeks that they were acquiring dry process material from an external vendor. The announcement could easily be interpreted as updating the process to utilize the 3rd party material, not an actual breakthrough on their internal dry manufacture material process. Still an improvement, but not what people are claiming has been accomplished. It would be nice to get clarification on which is true in this particular case".

Oh dear.  Firstly, One Pot is not a dry process for making CAM. Novonix is a dry process for making CAM.  Secondly, the news was abundantly clear. The breakthrough was the fact that Tesla acquired the correct equipment to roll dry cathode electrodes without introducing cracks that would lead to plant downtime (I.e., reduce plant efficiency).  Good thing is, we don't

What Tesla has been struggling with theyr battery production is how you get the cathode to stay at the foil without wet process.  This has nothing to do with how you make cathode material. Nano one cathode material can be used in both weth and dry. Novonix do not have lfp and they also are at pilot scale. Take a aluminium foil and some pepper at your kitchen and make that stick without glue

Not sure why you're directing this at me @GTNano?  I am did not imply that the dry electrode manufacturing process was the same as making CAM. Actually I said specifically we don't know who Tesla is using for their dry positive cathode manufacturing process.  For all we know if it Nano CAM (although that would be a stretch).   I also said that One Pot is not a dry
