Tesla Cathode Plant Update

https://youtu.be/CimCnTggLlU

Well @contrap127, what are your thoughts now?  Still think we have a shot at Tesla building their very own cathode plant using One Pot?

As you can see, the plant is almost done and the video details key process equipment being used at the Tesla cathode plant.

Do you think this looks like a One Pot plant?

Can we at least agree that if this Tesla cathode plant is commissioned and starts producing cathode and there is still no announcement that they are using One Pot, can we agree at that point that Tesla and Nano have no NDA and have never had an NDA?  Can we at least agree on that?

See for yourself. This video does not help the case for Tesla using One Pot in my opinion. But curious your thoughts since you have followed this storyline for longer than I have.  How else would you explain this as anything but clear evidence that Tesla is using their own process and not Nano's process for cathode?

This video show the machines of the  production after the cathode have been made. It is the final production at the end of the line for dry ore wet slury that will be on the foil in the battery.   The cathode mixers that Nano one have are the first in line at the cathode plant. (If it is Nano one ONE POT) Seems like they finaly have solved theyr problems at the cathode plant to me.

If anything this video helps Nano. LEGACY automakers will be destroyed if Tesla is able to drive costs even lower. "But Elon will give away the IP for free." Or he doesn't and just buries GM, Ford and Stellantis. VW is about to shut down plants in Germany.  Toyota has seen sales fall for 6 straight months. No longer the world's #1 importer. Nano is a tiny company that ...more

@TommyNickeks I agree with you that Nano does not need a partnership with Tesla to be successful. And the other major autos may need Nano to compete if Tesla in fact Tesla has figured out how to use their SpringPower CAM patents to make M2CAM, sulphate free, wast water free, single crystal, niobium coated CAM.  If so then the other autos need to move fast. Tesla already has a commercial ...more

We are aligned. If Tesla has infringed on Nanos patents, they'll just buy out Nano or settle. I see Dan getting a major contact soon. Waiting for Nano to fully derisk this tech is not a viable option.

Agreed thanks for the engagement @TommyNickels.   I also believe Nano has some very notable process technology differentiators compared to Tesla CAM process technology.  Namely: One clear sign that Nano One Pot process technology is better than Tesla’s is the fact that Tesla still needs huge roller hearth kilns for calcination. Nano has repeatedly commented that huge/long roller ...more

@GTNano, thanks for your reply but I must strongly disagree. Calcination is the process of heating the cathode materials to activate the ingredients. Calcination is a process step in the manufacturing of cathode active materials and is not related to the separate process of applying CAM to foil in a dry manner to make a "dry cathode".

@GTNano here is some background reference material regarding the difference between CALCINATION and the process of applying CAM to foil in a dry manner which you are confused about.  Nano One Pot Method: In the first of Nano One’s three processing stages, raw materials are combined at ambient temperatures and pressures to form a composite material with unique nanoscale features such as ...more

Lawisfun say ;) GTNano here is some background reference material regarding the difference between CALCINATION and the process of applying CAM to foil in a dry manner which you are confused about What are you talking about Law?? Nano one don't applay  CAM to foil. Nano One make cathode material peroid.
