Nope, something is going on behind the scenes. Whether it's 100% positive or not, time will answer that.

The 1 cent bid is massive because the spread (1/2 cent increments on the TSX) is 50% higher than the bid.  If you check the trade history, almost all recent trades are at the ask (buys) with little to no activity at the bid (sells).  The huge disparity represents large demand for cheap shares which can be instantly flipped for a 50% profit by the market makers.
