PLATINUM REACTION TO HYDROGEN

Thoight I'd Share

Platinum is superb at creating hydrogen gas.

Yet.... what happens when hydrogen gas ( no flame ) just gas touches
the surface of, platinum ?

H2 over Platinum

VIDEO - 18 sec long

Hydrogen gas (H2) adsorbs ("sticks") to platinum metal, which causes the H-H bond to break as two H-Pt bonds form. This makes it easier to remove an electron from each H atom, generating two H+ from H2.Jan 15, 2014

Platinum Catalyzed Reaction of Hydrogen and Oxygen

Let's see,
Instant exothermal reaction = free red hot heat

Hmmmm,
- platinum reactors  heating water moving rlec turbines using
small amounts of gas touching platinum plates  ( better than uranium ? )

Hydrogen molecule splits
Creating 2 separate H+ atoms

Could these 2 H+ atoms be sponged to generate electricity ?

Cheers....
