ACTUAL PHOTOS OF YUKON COPPER

Superb copper specimens from Whitehose Copper Belt
( few hours from Wellgreen )

Bornite, Azurite, Malachite, Vallerite, Chrysocolla,
Vallerite Serpentine subgroup = copper, magenium iron species.

NOTE :
Azurite and Malachite can form atop, chalcopyrite.

Ocean sediments ----> reefs ----->  chalcopyrite converts to, azurite, malachite, chrsocolla ?
It's not inconcievable.

Nor the thought....
the conversion mineral being more abundant than it's genisus form, chalcopyrite.
Due to, reef transforming the original mineral.

first example of vallerite is a bad example - looks like petrafied chalco
remember several examples of vallerite are shown.
serpentine vallerite, looks best.

My own impression - whitehorse copper photos ?
Malachite coloration is interesting.
Chrsocolla colors are a tad lighter than former post extample.

Vallerite sepentine 1/2 way down page right side - larger photo - interesting color.
Wellgreen has lots of iron and magnesium. ( and...interesting transitional minerals )
Transitional, is not standard mineral = hidden.
Vallerite Serpentine Formula.
4(Fe,Cu)S·3(Mg,Al)(OH) 2   or   (Fe2+,Cu) 4(Mg,Al) 3S 4(OH,O) 6.

Yukonite ?
Interesting photos
i can't help but think of an altered platinum with, calcium.
I'd be running several more tests on those specimens.
Other regions of world have odd formula platinum minerals.


Would love to test
the aqua green mineralization - atop wellgreen.
Wellgreen's silicates have 45% Serpentine Chloride,
most certainly sulphides were affected in someway
or form. These silicates need finesse style assaying
And not with sulphuric Acid...lol

Like what if.... there was more secondary copper than, chalcopyrite ?

And.... current resource is only measuring chalco sulphide remnants ?
If....Wellgreen was ever a REEF - the sulphide minerals would be converted to
chlorides, oxides, simple hydroxide, carbonates, fluroides, even phosphate copper.

Converted how ?
Mineral chemical swaps and reef organisms that munch on minerals
and convert the minerals via acids in digestion and enzymes.

With the numerous papers written on Wellgreen,
I'm shocked to see no indepth study on the extensive chloride presence
and it's effect on sulphide minerals and secondary mineral evolution.

Is this lower BC junior - just measuring the sulphide chalco ?
Or both.... tease.
