Fully agree as I think that NFI is now over the hump.  I was able to take advantage and buy back in after having been out for about a year. Below are the targets from early March so one might expect that some of them will soon be raised. GLTA 3/8/2021 BMO Capital Markets Lower Price Target C$40.00 C$38.00 3/5/2021 National Bank Financial Boost Price Target Outperform C$32.00 C$34.00  ...more

Dear retiredcf, Thank you for sharing. I always look up to what you write. Do you continue to trust the NFI management team? I have been buying NFI every January in my TFSA for several years now but I think this will be the last year I did so and probably also the last year I will be their shareholder. I have lost  confidence in their ability to deploy capital accretively. The CEO and ...more

I've lost a lot of money on NFI...over the years... If it gets to the low 30's again this year (which I will be surprised if they do), I'm cashing out, and moving on. I don't really have much faith in management anymore.

If this goes to 15$ someone buys them out or it goes private for a lot more :)

The main takeaway from my ownership experience is that nobody has a clue what today will bring.....like today...

The lower this goes the better, for me. I'm still in accumulation stage.
Comment by retiredcf on May 07, 2021 12:53pm
Accumulation seems like a good plan, particularly when you get the likes of Tommy showing up who looks to have never been on this BB before (so is clearly not a shareholder) and naturally, plucks a $15 target out of his a**. GLTA
Comment by Strohs16 on May 07, 2021 3:02pm
Agreed. I'll pick a number out of my a** too....I'll take his $15 and double it, and pluck $30 out of mid-air as my one year out target lol GLTA

Wow, sorry for your pain guys. I bought in 2019 at ~$25 and got out at ~$29 this February with some profits, but still think it's a good business, will definetly buy again, if it hits $15, even $20. Didn't know about their stupid buybacks at $30+. Need to do a better DD next time. :) My undertanding is they will struggle short term because of covid and long term because of WFH, both ...more

Thanks for your 2 cents. Unfortunately, your analysis is not even worth that. I've been owning NFI since the 16$ and nothing will make me sell my shares.

Entire EV sector taking a hit. Insider buying (1025 shares) of NFI yesterday. Longer term, NFI strong hold; few competitors; demand will only increase for their product.

many here fail to remember this was a 50$ not too long ago :)
