Mercedes, Subaru, Toyota, Kia etc....
...all dealing with chip shortages resulting in delivery delays. All of them must be idiots... Right?

True. Transit companies in Canada plan to buy more hybrid and electric buses. Business is booming. As I see it with the last bids everyone is increasing their prices. Margins will be very good in 2023 and 2024 if they can get their microchips. If I were NFI and the competitors, I would increase the prices even more, it's not like they're making money in this stupid environment.

Lion Electric is increasing prices and they're just getting started. They can't get chips and are missing delivery targets. Bunch of idiots.

I ordered an EV in January. There's still no delivery date or pricing and there are only 1-2 available per dealership.

It's not just chips, batteries are in short supply as well.
