Lucky you... I am in the midst of the fires just north of Kamloops.  Evacuations all around us but not including our home so far.  Fires in every direction ranging from 15-35 kms away.  We can hardly see across the road at times for the smoke. Ash falling like snowflakes. Newgold mine is within the evacuation alert area NW of town but it has not yet become an evacuation order at ...more
