Follow the Money!
IMO these analysts have it all wrong. For the record, I live in Canada and watch my share of NHL and have enough capability to know how to find the free NHL streams online.
IMO these analysts have it all wrong on the NHL. As I said, I live in Canada and understand the "Canadian" feelings toward Gary Bettman. Perhaps being a contrarian, I have always thought that Gary has done a great job for the NHL. NHLPA strikes or not, but here again, if you follow the money, Gary made a great move for the NHL, which has nothing to do with the BS these anlaysts are spewing.
First, My understanding is that under the current NLN streaming relationship, that there are approxiamte 200,000 subscribers to NHL Centre Ice at 170.oo per sub. That is 34 million in gross annual revenues. So take home for the NHL is something less than that after paying the NLN expense. Lets say the NHL nets 20 million.
Now, for the next 6 years, baseball is going to cut a check of 100 million to the NHL. Baseball has to figure out how to make that money back and they only have 6 years to do it. And no 4K offering (yet). 600 million NHL expense plus the over head of running the streaming business.
IMO, as a business man, for the NHL clubs and players, Gary looks pretty smart. This is about money and nothing else. NLN has DRM.
Good luck to them. Go Univision. Go MMA. Go Basketball. Go NFL.
PS, did you know that Direct TV pays the NFL 1B annually to run the Sunday Ticket? That is right, DTV pays for that content. Baseball is paying for content and going to pass that cost on to their USA and global subscribers. I think Canada may be exempt because Rogers runs the show here.
Still, all in all, a corrupt cord cutting sucker deal. Can watch over the top if you have a cable subscription? WTF
So now with MLB at the helm you will probably pay about the same amount to watch NHL but be prepared for more commercials. LoL. You are going to pay BAM Tech to watch commercials.

This company has a lot more to offer than NHL. More contracts signed and more to come , osing NHL doesnt justify 50% drop in share price. I know its speculative, but soon enough everyone will realize the potential for this company and will be trading where it was before the crash.

there are some sellers, but with around 200k shares traded there are not that many.. just need some catalyst for people to buy--with the insiders buying i think something will come soon enough..

and with thoughts like that... Imagine where NLN would be had they done the 8.8:1 reverse split lol
