NEULION AND UFC(R) SIGN NEW MULTI-YEAR AGREEMENT TO DELIVER HIGH-QUALITY FIGHTING ACTION TO ANY CONNECTED DEVICE

NeuLion Inc. has signed a new multiyear agreement with UFC. Under the new agreement, NeuLion will power UFC's ultimate go-to digital destination, the UFC website, including complete access to pay-per-view events. In addition, NeuLion is leading the re-build and re-launch of the UFC's over-the-top business -- UFC FIGHT PASStrademark.

Building off the success of UFC.TV and UFC FIGHT PASS, the two companies are broadening their relationship while continuing to push the envelope with new initiatives and innovations in the areas of International localization, expanded device support, customer care, and integration into UFC Rewards. UFC.TV has continued to expand distribution, and is now available on connected devices including Xbox gaming consoles, Apple TV, iOS, and Android devices, with even more devices coming soon. UFC.TV will soon be implementing many new payment methods, making it even easier for fans to access live pay-per-view events and UFC FIGHT PASS!

LMAO all I can say is I been telling you guys.. Something was up - this company is legit and was being depicted as reliant on that NHL contract... Come on.. GL to all longs.

Is this really new revenue or just an announcement of their continuing business relationship.  However sounds like they are exploring all different ways to stream UFC - this may increase revenue.  Also, Nln has many clients. So, I wasn't expecting a large pop in sp.

To me, this seems not so much like a brand new deal but rather a quite positive extension to an already existing contract. Surely it will increase the revenue generated from this particular contract. I'm still surprised the SP even went down today. It's not so much the *omg new contract profit!!!*, but rather a confirmation that just because NHL bailed, doesn't mean the other companies ...more

UFC extension was great news and shows that not everyone will follow NHL. However there was another news affecting NLN -DivX market: https://techcrunch.com/2015/09/01/amazon-netflix-google-microsoft-mozilla-and-others-partner-to-create-next-gen-video-format/#.k2f8d4:HlOs  This will certainly impact DivX down the road.  So if you add up NHL and now this new competitor that wants to ...more

I am not a techie but won`t content owners like major motion picture studios want a codec that offers protection from pirating? A free open source codec will not provide this.
