15 mbps? The bit rate for 4K is way too high, and the quality isn't that much better than 1080p which is around 3 mbps. Besides, most devices don't even support it. I know my brand new iphone 6s doesn't. I shot video in 4K, and it does look better on my TV up close than 1080p, but when I'm sitting on my couch it doesn't look any different.

Do you have a 4k TV? Cuz if not, of course you won't see the difference. 4k is infinitely better than 1080p, ESPECIALLY for sports where you want to see all the small details. What world do you live in?

Yes, I do. Unlike most people here, I actually know what I'm talking about. It has 4 times the pixel density, it's better up close than hd (which I alread said), but from optimum viewing distance it doesn't look any better. It would be greate for large projectors though. Not worth the additional bandwidth required right now. Most UHD TVs don't even support a high enough fps for ...more
