it was only a matter of time before people realized streaming baseball and NHL are two different things....what a disaster and PR nightmare for MLBAM....

Neulion will generate far more revenue from the NHL now that this is happening with the 30 FPM baseball streaming attempt. Bettman needs to pull the plug before the playoffs.

And with $1.2.billion the NHL can pay Neulion lucrative fees to assist MLB in getting the streaming up and running properly.

I think you're missing the point. MLBAM owns the NHL right for distribution. However, MLBAM isn't going to throw NHL down the toilet if their technology isn't keeping pace. This only bodes well for NLN for two reasons A) It confirms their fast-streaming technology is far superior to MLBAM (which is what NLN has been saying all along because they don't license parts of the ...more

I think the issues NHL is having with BLBAM answers that question for anyone thinking of breaking away.
