Does this not change NLN's business model in terms of contracting directly with major sports?  Not sure how I feel about it. Could cut both ways.

what the hell are you talking about?.......it is the same business model as before.....NLN is providing the tech that allows SportsNet to distribute over the internetnet broadcasts that SportsNet (not NLN) licenses from major sports leagues.....

The advertised SportsNet packaged, expanded internet sports service will certainly add extra sports revenue to Neulion.  Quite a few people dropping cable TV service. Bars etc won't need Dr Phil and all that garbage. +/- $25/mth you can have the sports package thru your internet / computer. A laptop plugged into a nice TV / monitor and the games are the same just 1/2 the price if you don ...more

This appeals to the small sector who are cord cutters and travelers. I get the same as the Roger's service on my tablets with Telus Optik ToGo but I don't have all the neat NLN features like multiple game viewing etc. Still this helps prove the market.  The risk is the majors may do what the NHL did as soon as NLN gets the ball rolling so I hope NLN is maximizing on the opportunity ...more
