What would be a conservative takeover value of NeuLion?

Share price is hovering in the dollar range plus or minus 20 cents for such a long time...

Hard to pinpoint a value on this stock should a takeover occur.

MLBAM is on track for 2016 revenues of 775M-800m and MLBAM is projecting 2017 revenues of 1.1M-1.2M

For clarification, BAMTech, not MLBAM, is the entity closest to Neulion in terms of size and function. BAMTech is said to have revenues of above 100 million in the most recent year. 10% of that goes directly to the NHL. 33% of the company was acquired by Disney for 1 billion. Conservatively, we can deduce that at the moment, Neulion would be worth at least 3 billion or so in a takeover, seeing as ...more

I thought the Disney deal was a multiple of 10 times revneu, which is a billion - not 3 billion.   In whihc case a comparable for NLN is about $3.50.  $3 billion comparable is over $10 bucks...not reasonable.

I'm using the past *over 100 million a year* statement from BAMtech as a comparative, though I agree that higher numbers have been thrown around the time of the acquisition by Disney. I'm not sure I buy the possibility that that number would have increased YOY to ~250 million. If it did, then that speak volume as to the potential growth of Neulion, which would go back to the idea that it ...more

I knew there was an article... finally found it. Full Forbes article, https://www.forbes.com/sites/genemarcial/2016/08/15/neulion-a-hidden-value-play-in-video-streaming/#3278a2ad67da Excerpt, Jeff Tory of Pembroke Management, one of the largest holders of NeuLion’s shares, believes the stock will double within 12 months. But according to one large institutional investor, who is not permitted ...more

When looking at the potential incremental growth, which seems very strong, a 1 year valuation at $2.15,  a buyout would have to be around $4 or $5 IMO.
