Today's drop in price is a buy opportunity.

Today's drop is a "trading" opportunity. I picked up 2000 shares at $42.25 and immediately put a sell order in for $42.95. As an aside, my wife and I are now completely out of both NPI and BEP.UN after having full positions in both. We made huge dough as we got into BEP.UN in Mar, 2014 and NPI in Nov, 2014 and held until we unloaded in late 2020 - early 2021. I still totally ...more

Rising input costs, inflation, fears of rising interest rates seem to be hurting NPI as well. Their last quarter had a ton issues too (lower winds, bearing issues, etc.) All being said, I still like the long term outlook ...more

Day to day, month to month. Patience. Today may be an up day for most renewables. A  technical rebound based on low RSI values most have.

Hey Div Thanks for the nice comments. Congrats on your timing on your recent NPI add. Quite the bounce today. Looks like some short covering scrambing going on as well. I think renewables will be fine in 5 or so years but the next while is going to be very choppy. As mentioned, I do think they currently have some major issues to work out but people seem to be ignoring that. I do indeed like ...more
