Interest rates

Interest rates and oil moving higher today. Banks and oil companies are winners.

Who knows how long this will continue. Maybe entire 2022? Will take time to work through this sector rotation.

A lot of oil companies have still not recovered to pre pandmic prices which oil was $55 a barrel. They are all making insane money now. Hopefully the higher winds will boost NPI profits plus the shutdown of Nukes will up prices.

I hope NPI's Virtual Investor day will shed some light on things. Someone will probably ask about the North Sea wind. As for interest rates, the pandemic has created economic anomalies which stand out. Easing monetary policies are being tossed out in favour of tightening the money supply to combat inflation. But also are seeing less than stellar economic growth in some countries who are ...more

Northland included.  Earnings at several European wind power generators were hit by this year's wind lulls, but the companies remain committed to increasing capacity.
