On Nuclear Power & SMRs.

Ontario has the lowest CO2 footprint because it relies heavily on "clean" nuclear.  My region is served by a nearby plant, as is much of southern ON.  Expensive , yes, but there is a bigger gorilla in the room.
Radioactive waste.  We have temporarily housed the spent rods on site in pools of water.  The number of sites is small. Lots of talk over the decades about technology taking care of this problem but thus far, bupkis.
How will we monitor radioactive waste with the proliferation of a gazillion SMRs?

Unless somebody assures me there's no radioactive waste with SMRs

Good thing someone noticed this--While it was previously stated the storage of waste (from SMR's in Sask) would be in Ontario, officials confirmed waste would now be stored on site in Saskatchewan.
