Fits the bill

"This will be BC Hydro’s first call for power in 15 years, and will target larger, utility scale projects". 

So Northland's utility scale offshore proposal fits the bill.

Baygall --give it a rest --- with yur BS posts that provide nothing meaningful about the future of this crappy company - There is no money or financial capcity to take on any new projects - in fact they appear to have to borrow money just to stay afloat.  The CEO and BoD need to be replaced if the company stock price is going to have any chance of recovering - you know it as well as the ...more

That Hecate project is a long shot. Offshore wind can't compete with onshore wind pricewise. And it's all about BC Hydro receiving cheap competitive rates. Also, the power call will attract multiple players. Brookfield Renewables, Fortis, Innergex, even Orsted. Northland has to compete with these. Northland has enough on their plate and is swimming in debt. Best Northland ...more
