N.Y. State solar permitting

 
 
Earlier this week, we received state approval on the siting permit for our 100 MW Alfred Oaks solar project in Allegany County, New York. Approval came 9 months after our permit submission was deemed complete and is the result of a strong collaborative working relationship with the community and local stakeholders. This is a critical step forward in the project’s development.

Alfred Oaks will be Northland’s first solar project in New York State and, once operational, will produce enough electricity to power 13,000 average-sized homes. Northland already operates 220 MW of onshore wind in New York through our Bluestone and Ball Hill facilities, and are well-positioned to help the state move closer to the targets they’ve set for a clean energy economy.
