Remineralizers - competition in Brazil

This is from the Web site of the Company that produces the first mineralization product certified under MAPA. It sets out details of their product:

  • Specific physical-chemical composition obtained in eProduct for use exclusively via soil.
  • Determine precisely the area to be treated and the precision of the equipment / method of application in order to guarantee the effectiveness of the recommended dose.
  • Check the settings and general conditions of the application equipment, avoiding unevenness in the dose / ha and coverage of the area.
  • Use only recommended doses.
  • Include other methods of nutritional management, within the system of sustainable use of production areas, when appropriate and available.
  • Avoid applications in strong wind.
  • Product unsuitable for human and animal consumption.
  • Keep out of reach of children and animals, if swallowed, seek medical assistance.
  • Warehousing / storage: in a dry place. Mineral exploitation of silica rock within the Arax geological complex, providing granulometry and moisture percentage for different agronomic effects in the scientific management of scientifically proven soils.
  • Producing a rare combination of technology and sustainability for systems.

Hi Stan. Thank you for trying to decipher what Janota has been saying. So the product that Verde produces is not a fertiliser, but a remineralisation. Ok, so does that matter in terms of attraction to farmers? And what about his ambiguous comments about Verde's product not being as good as others on the market in Brazil? Have you found anything that backs him up? Somewhat annoying that he ...more

Hello Pedro, Glad to be of service. Given the application of regulations in Brazil, I can see why it is important to understand and comply with the classifications assigned to your Company's products. I now understand K-Forte is a remineralizer under the local rules, and should not be promoted or sold as a fertilizer. It my non-bureaucratic mind, adding K-Forte to soil is meant to make crops ...more

Thank you for your work in explaining that Stan. I feel somewhat more confident and informed now. So much better than someone just throwing a hand grenade into the room and walking away. And yes, here's hoping for a steady week for the share price and an interesting presentation/review of Q3 from the CEO tomorrow.

It was Alysson Paolinelli that convinced CV to forget the Thermo... treatment and adopt the NI No. 5 route. 4 years ago, then why has it taken you so long to realise this? 4 years is quite a long fuse I would say!

What is the issue? From your posts Kforte is registered as an organic remineralizer. That seems great. Are there concerns about pending lawsuits because of how Verde is or is not advertising? What is a fertilizer in Brazil? The Brazilian Agricultural page on annex 1 lists Siltito Glaucontico, which is what Verdes product is, as a fertilizer. Am I getting mixed up translating?

Like I said, arrogance!

My guess in this discussio: K-Forte is registered as a remineraliser but used as a fertilizer substitute, which it's quiet good at given the percentage of potash it contains. As remineraliser I guess there are other brands out there that contains much more trace elements that fits the remineraliser-purpose bettter, but they don't contain the amount of potash that K-forte does. I dont   ...more

We'll get there in the end? Then I'll repeat: 'Sorry to say, that although K-Forte qualifies as a remineraliser, in my opinion it is not one of the better ones.' The primary requirement of a remineraliser is the 'sum of the base macro-nutrients' (9%), micro-nutrients are somewhat secondary. Potassium Oxide (K2O) is one of the three macro-nutrients.
