Plant 1 process water...?

Verde Plant 1 have been granted an additional water licence, see link below and search 'Verde':

Verde Plant 1 already has a borehole abstraction licence for 0.6m3/hr (welfare), so my guess is this new one is process reated.

Hello Janota, Thank you for this timely update. A well with a .6 cubic meter per hour extraction sounds like enough for "welfare" of the employees on the site - toilets and hand washing/cleaning requirements, and would needed to have been in place for the plant since it was built. I could not find the approved extraction/consumption figure for the new approval. If it is process related ...more

I seem to recall they had to apply water around the site last summer to keep dust low for the workers? 0.6 cubic meter per hour is 0.167 L per second. Depending on how many employees are now at the plant and what peak water demand might be it's not alot, especially if they're having to do some dust control. They may have holding tanks to help accomodate peak demand, but I wouldn't be ...more

If you go on google earth 'street view' you will see they have an elevated storage tank (08/2018). Details of the first borehole abstraction can be found on the Enviro..Licence Cert: https://sistemas.meioambiente.mg.gov.br/licenciamento/uploads/HHD2pC2H2svsg8Q28b98uS9lcEiWfEue.pdf Read the small print. Dust suppression could be via tankers? Site roads are being tarmaced?
