Verde share price drops 14.6% to $1.11 on Q2 results release

44,000 shares traded to 11am, with the share price dropping 19 cents from $1.30 close on Friday to $1.11 today. Very disappointing in my opinion - this needs some explaining by management on the 25th.

For me the tonnage sold is light by 10% or more and that is the issue, not the incentive plan for the 58 staff. I assume this plan is an incentive scheme usingnew shares hence it not being a cash event. If incentives bring 2021 sales to 350,000 tonnes, and hopefully beyond, then I will be reasonably happy. People need to be rewarded for results. But it's the selling and adoption of the product ...more

I'm Mr Rose glasses apparently. I agree Pedro that the compensation to the employees is okay. Especially if it's shares, it potentially sets up a dividend payment as an incentive to employees. Shares which they may not normally have been able to afford. This would help align with ESG investments which I feel is a good place for Verde. But I could be mistaken.
