Apparently the July and August truck traffic, now running 7 days a week, resulted in a community protest by folks in Matutina and Sao Gotardo and a blockcade of the processing plant on August 25. Verde's neighbours are clearly not happy with the day long convoy of trucks going between the mine site and the processing plant, and the convoys of trucks coming empty to the processing plant and

Good to hear the volume. Shame about the complaints. Pretty common back home too. When farmers in the area would spread manure where I grew up some of the very vocal people in the town would lose their own s$$t. Glad it's not manure!

Hello Janota59, Thank you for finding this confirmation of the August 25th issue with the movement of trucks from the mine to the processing plant. Perhaps we can ask the Company to put out a news release covering the events around August 25 2021, including the original decrees (Number 80) issued by teh Mayor of Matutina, and subsequently suspended (Number 81) after the Company met with the

I wonder if any of this issue will find it's way into the next monthly news letter. Certainly, whatever remediation was agreed too will cost money.

Stan... I did look for Decree 080 when this was first flagged but could'nt find anything relevant at the time,so only half a story there. I would guess that decree 080 allowed a temporary and alternative route through the town whilst hardening of the roadway was in progress. The suspension Decree 081 was only for the two days 25th and 30th Aug, so I would expect any agreement made did not

Stan... That's what they are doing now, road improvements or hardening as I put it. Drecree 080 will be part of those improvements. They can't drive on the roadway that's being improved, not until it's completed. They have conducted a traffic survey on that route prior to mining activities and together with the expected traffic numbers added through and up to 2.5MT production
