Curious and curiouser said Alice

the Pot just stated on POU that she/he has shares in NVA.
What could be the point of all this bashing other than A desire to acquire more shares at a better price ?
It seems the value of credibility has sunk to a new low for some posters.

39.752,142 to be exact, I hold them indirectly. Associated with every 3.37 shares of POU, i own 1 share of NVA. So if NVA were to go up 30 cents, my POU shares should go up 10 cents just on their NVA value.  GO NVA GO The only thing is with this management team it is like flogging a dead horse, and trying to win a race. I just don't think that their are that smart, and over extended ...more

Are you Sue Riddell that graduated from Queen's Engineering? then  I will look forward to meeting you at a reunion. Congratulations on your success. But I still fail to understand the need for this deviousness. I am trying to help younger investors to have a chance in life. Your deviousness does not help. You are indeed a very lucky lady, please find some other more useful activities in ...more

I saw that too. Must be to help shorts cover and/or acquire more Nuvista shares cheap. He knows as much as anyone POU will not be attempting to takeover NVA for many reasons. Two being NVA has lots of liquidity and not in any cash crunch, and POU is already leveraged themselves to the hilt to the tune of $1B.

Look at the path that POU's share price is taking and follow it, it is trading at 5.23 times the value of NVA, so a 5 for 1 share swap would yeild a premium of NVA shareholders. But while NVA is trading at a 3.8 time debt to cash flow, i don't think anyone would touch it right now. That is why they HALTED all spending.  NVA shareholders can have confidence that their shares are in ...more

Sorry to disagree with you flee. You seem like a good board member here. POU will not be going after the remainder of NVA, you are correct in that, but not because their leveraged to the gills, they unlike NVA, have a very healthy balance sheet with enough liquidity to buy out the remainder of NVA if they wanted to. No the reason is because NVA is almost completely choked off by debt and will be ...more

No worry Robert, you seem very straight up in your posts. I think with roughly $100m in liquidity to start 2021 and a commitment to spend within cashflow, and WTI recovering to $55 or maybe $60 by end of 2021 NVA could be a double or maybe even a triple from here in a year. What would be your call if WTI can pull off that type of recovery?
Comment by Oldnagger on Dec 30, 2020 5:37pm
If POU keeps their holdings in NVA within the investment limits , they do not need to include NVA's debt on their books, To get over their frustrations (if any ) with Nva's management and to assume  control they would need to add not only the corrsponding corresponding portion of the $590 million debt load. but also the portion pertaining to their present holdings (17.61% x590 =$ 104 ...more

Nope. They are likely within their limits to classify this as a speculative investment rather than an equity investment. If one of pous mgmt ends up on the board of NVA, then it's a different story. They would have known this.
Comment by Robertboblaw on Dec 30, 2020 6:07pm
Also I'd be outright shocked if they've added to their position in NVA in q4. That would almost certainly put them in equity investment classification range and as you said, now they would have to add their % corresponding ownership on nvas assets and liabilities to their balance sheet. I don't think they want to do that. I could be wrong but I highly doubt it.
