"The impact of a coordinated oil release would depend on the timeframe and quantity, but a release of more than about 60 million barrels in around 30 days would be seen by the market as "very negative for pricing", said Commonwealth Bank of Australia (OTC:CMWAY) analyst Vivek Dhar.

"This situation is coming at a time when this market was shifting and global oil stockpiles are rising. So this could see prices fall more steeply than you think," he said, pointing to new coronavirus lockdowns in Europe."

and for those that sold out, sorry you may just miss the next run up. SPR release means zero compared to what OPEC+ can and will do to support prices. Indicator, you are the true trader, positive on here when long and all negaitve when sold out and hoping to reenter. you always refer to Nuttall as if he is the only long oil anayst. i can name 5 large global firms calling for multi year bull ...more

The volunteerly cut of 1 million barrels that Saudi did was an obvious indication that they would do whatever to bring the oil price back up. Now everyone is talking about releasing the oil reserves........., you think saudi and Russia will just watch? Definitely if they do release or they have been releasing the oil from the reserve, then OPEC will respond and it will lead the oil to over 100 ...more
