My hunch is the vast majority of the firms (including Spruce Point) that initiated their short positions weeks or months ago covered in full when Nuvei's share price tanked, so they're likely long gone with their pockets stuffed with cash. Most shorts aren't greedy - they don't try to squeeze every penny out of a stock before covering. They have their cover price targets and I ...more
