PARKER SCHNABEL - COARSE GOLD NUGGETS!

Hey guys, I took a break from work last night and watched an episode of Gold Rush, where child prodigy Parker Schnabel (reportedly worth some $8 Million) was seeking a tenement to mine in Queensland, Australia.

At one point, they were doing some test runs to see whether they thought the property was worth it, and they showed a bunch of WATERMELON SEED type coarse gold nuggets FOUND AT SURFACE. Maybe I'm speaking out of turn here (not a geologist), but I think this is something we've seen before around here?

Keep in mind that Queensland is on the north EASTERN side of Australia - and that Novo's properties are on the north WESTERN side of Australia.

It seems to me this is indicative of coarse, conglomerate-type gold being ALL OVER THE PLACE over there in Australia - just more evidence that Novo has made an excellent decision to lock-in approx. 14,000 sq km.

Did they say it was 120 degrees Fahrenheit? That's hot - and it helps me understand on another level why many prior geologists have just thrown their hands up and said this area is "unminable". The sorters, which require no water, is a truly BRILLIANT solution to this dry, arid climate.

Did I say QH should be President of the Mensa Society? I think he deserves to be put on an episode of Gold Rush, advising young Parker. And maybe they can bring in Old Fogie at the end with a little TA just to teach'em how brilliant he (says) he is. Ummmmm ..... never mind.

Yes, David Lenigas, another "friend" of QH - Mr. Moriarty has a great chapter in his book about the entire Karratha area.

Well ..... you say you are not impressed by Mr. Moriarty - instead of just tossing a grenade, feel free to state WHY you are not impressed. I find him to be be very knowledgeable and truthful. To be honest, I had fancied allowing my 13 year-old daughter read his newest boook ( an excellent story, full of facts), but there are a couple of paragraphs in the there that contain some salty language ...more

I think the guy is also part of the smarty group with glasees and aids to read and hear between the lines on CEO. I read someone overthere talking about the book and his 13 y.o dauther, How many could think that a kid could be interested in that kind of books?

Crayons, interesting opinion. I like the part about him "called it right" (your words). Can't beat that. His book, "Basic Investing in Resources Stocks" is a must read, which I found very helpful. The big thing I learned and liked was his discussion of contrarianism and sentiment indicators. He actually posted a couple weeks back that gold has a current sentiment index ...more

Mathew Gordon is Northern Irish.  If you understand those people, you actually learn to really appreciate them. Scrappy lot, but I like them. Tx
