MY VIEW

I still think the most likely outcome if a sale of the REIT for $9-10 this year; they are probably slimming it down first by selling a portfolio or two then giving a healthier version of it to the PDL and partners.  

If PDL was buying at $7 and him and his buddies wanted to make an offer at this time, they likely were willing to pay $10ish

as to whats taking so long well I expect the committee can go about the sale in many different ways and needs to be patient; perhaps also it can come when the first rate cut becomes more certain

Certainly buyouts at 100% premium have happened in the past, but it seems far fetched and that they are trapped by stated NAV being so relatively high.. it would create too much liability that could probably be considered a pretty clear breach of fiduciary duty in my eyes.. But maybe 10 is enough to satisfy most shareholders as the weighted shareholders average price must be around that or lower ...more

I can not confirm or deny. Follow a new relationship that has been unfolding. What better way would this go if a new firm was given the oppurtunity to manage the assets. By now we know NWH does not have the proper people in place to manage their own assets they need to let go of the management and focus on shareholder value. Mark my words a big NR will be showing itself in the next 6-8 weeks. It ...more
